Please share the following information about your evaluation project:
1 - a brief description of your project
2 - your question/problem statement (what is the question that needs to be answered OR the problem that needs to be solved?)
3 - your why statement (why does the library need this answer/solution? What will the library be able to do after it has this answer/solution?)
Thanks!

Project Description:
Overdrive collection development
Question/Problem Statement:
What is the question that needs to be answered or the problem that needs be solved?
Digital collection development is hard! There are factors that inform the development of the physical collection – face-to-face interaction with readers, review-driven selection, low prices, resource sharing (aka interlibrary loan) – that are absent when it comes to the electronic collection. The variety in the publishers’ pricing and leasing models makes an already-challenging landscape even harder to navigate. How do we purchase the right titles to meet the desires of our patrons, without breaking the bank?
Statement of Why:
Why does the library need this answer/solution? What will the library be able to do after it has this answer/solution?
Once we hammer out a methodology for Overdrive purchases, we can be confident that we are getting the best return on the community’s investment in at least this part of our collections budget.
