RE: Introductions - cherrmann - 07-10-2018

Hello,

My name is Carrie Herrmann.  I am the Director at Boone County Public Library in Northern Kentucky.  I am a first time attendee at RIPL.

When I am not Directing the Library, my three kids keep me busy.

RE: Introductions - Gizelle Guyette - 07-10-2018

Hello.  I'm Gizelle Guyette, director at the Morristown Centennial Library in Morrisville, Vermont.  This is a first for us, and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from and work with my colleagues from around the country when we meet in Atlanta.

RE: Introductions - emilyplagman - 07-10-2018

Hi All - I'm Emily Plagman, Director of Impact & Advocacy with the Public Library Association. I also manage the Project Outcome toolkit and Public Library Data Service platform. Looking forward to meeting you all. RIPL is such a GREAT conference!!!

RE: Introductions - TBivens - 07-11-2018

Hi everyone!  I'm Terry Bivens, and I work at Mauney Memorial Library in Kings Mountain, N.C.  I am an experienced Library Assistant, plus I'm also working on my MLIS at UNC-G.  I am excited about this workshop. I coordinate adult programs, and manage the statistics for all of our programs and resources.  I'd love to learn more outcome focused evaluation methods, versus merely counting heads.  We're actively in our strategic planning period, so this learning experience is right on time.

When I'm not working or studying, I enjoy hiking, making soap, and fishing.

RE: Introductions - dmfarabaugh - 07-11-2018

Hi all!  I'm Dana Farabaugh, District Consultant for Westmoreland County, located in western Pennsylvania.  This will be my first time at RIPL and I'm looking forward to learning with you all!

RE: Introductions - acartwright - 07-11-2018

Hello All!  I am Alicia Cartwright, Business Librarian for Arapahoe Libraries (just South of Denver, CO).  This is my first RIPL and I am really looking forward to learning some valuable skills to help with our district-wide data strategy initiative.  See you all in a few weeks!

RE: Introductions - senaloyd - 07-12-2018

Hi!  My name is Sena Loyd, I am the Director of the Carson City Library in Carson City, NV. I am looking forward to being able to more efficiently use data to leverage additional funding opportunities in our community.  We are also starting the process of developing a new strategic plan.

Outside of work, I enjoy attending community events, lobbying for libraries in Nevada (we are in the Capitol City), making in Makerspaces, adopting new technologies, and waiting for my Tesla Model 3 (the battery will have been built only 30 minutes from home).

Looking forward to meeting you all in person soon!

RE: Introductions - sdermont - 07-12-2018

Hi Everyone,

I'm Scott Dermont and I'm the State Data Coordinator for the State Library of Iowa. This will be my first RIPL conference and I'm looking forward to it. Should be fun! What can be more exciting that talking about library statistics!!!

RE: Introductions - Molly Luby - 07-12-2018

Hi everyone! I'm Molly Luby, Special Projects Coordinator at the Chapel Hill Public Library in Chapel Hill, NC. I do lots of work connected to community history and lead project teams composed of community members, local government staff, and fellow librarians. This is my first RIPL conference, and I look forward to meeting everyone and learning!

RE: Introductions - Mandy - 07-12-2018

Good morning! My name is Mandy Walters and I'm the Director of the Pend Oreille County Library District in the very NE corner of Washington state.  We are in the process of creating a strategic plan, working to grant fund a new building, and potentially doing a levy lid lift, so there's a lot happening!  This will be my first RIPL conference and I think that it will be incredibly useful as we move forward.

In my spare time, I enjoy taking advantage of the amazing state parks and national forests that surround me.  I love to hike and we recently bought a canoe so that we could take our kids out on the water with us (the single kayak wasn't cutting it!).  I'm also a bit of a political junkie, so I spend the rest of my free time working as a Board member for my local party and canvassing for my candidates of choice.

Can't wait to see you in Atlanta!
