Biography

Don Gregory is currently serving as the Workforce Development Specialist at the Providence Public Library (PPL).  For 31 years, he has been designing rich technology curricula that is student centered in a blended learning approach.  Using frameworks of gamification and hands-on instruction, Don has been able to bring the Providence Public Library’s tech education program to new heights.  In 2016, the Tech Collective chose Don as the “Tech10” Award winner in the Education category.  Don’s “Rhode Coders Club” and “Data Navigators” programs were conceptualized, designed and launched in 2016 and 2017, respectively, and have received region-wide recognition as a new model for public library education and workforce development efforts in the State of Rhode Island.

In addition to his role at PPL, Don is an adjunct instructor for the University of Rhode Island’s Office of Strategic Initiatives and the Community College of Rhode Island’s Division of Workforce Partnerships, where he has designed, built and delivered Data Analytics and Visualization curricula.
